What “move-in ready” means here
The phrase is used loosely on the Guinean market. At Diatigui a short-stay property is only published if you can sleep, cook and work there the evening you land:
- full bedding, household linen and enough crockery;
- equipped kitchen with fridge, hob and usable water;
- an active internet connection from the moment you arrive;
- working air conditioning in the bedrooms;
- a generator or the compound's backup supply;
- genuine security guarding, and key handover arranged whatever time your flight lands.
Short stays, the airport and a vehicle: arrival logistics
A short stay is decided in the first 24 hours. We arrange the welcome at Ahmed Sékou Touré International Airport, the transfer to the property and the inventory check straight after, whatever time you land. If your stay involves daily travel, we pair a chauffeur-driven vehicle with the property on the same quote.
For families on holiday we adjust the advice: proximity to the beach and to services rather than to the administrative centre, and a vehicle suited to trips out to Boffa or the Loos Islands.
What a short-term furnished rental costs in Conakry
The monthly rate on a short stay carries a 20–40% premium over an annual lease: that is the price of flexibility, furniture and included charges. In exchange there is no multi-month deposit, no setup cost and no commitment.
Against an upmarket Conakry hotel, the tipping point is around ten to twelve nights for one person, and far sooner for a family or a team.

Whatever time you land, your driver greets you in the arrivals hall of Ahmed Sékou Touré airport, name board in hand, and takes you straight to your accommodation. The transfer can be added to any vehicle rental or booked on its own.

What is the minimum rental period in Conakry?
One month across most of our portfolio. For UN agencies, NGOs and companies we work with regularly, we go down to two weeks on selected properties. Below that, a hotel is simpler.
Is a deposit required for a short-term rental?
On short stays the deposit is reduced to one month, against three to six months on a conventional Guinean annual lease.
Is the property set up for working?
Yes: an active internet connection, a desk or work table, and air conditioning in the living areas. Each listing states the type of connection and the speed available.
Can you meet us at the airport on arrival?
Yes, that is our standard practice. The driver waits in the arrivals hall with your name, whatever time your flight lands, takes you to the property and walks the inventory with you.
