A villa with a pool is the most sought-after and the scarcest property in Conakry. Only a few dozen are genuinely available as furnished rentals, concentrated in Lambanyi, Kipé, Nongo and a handful of plots in Dixinn — nearly all let to expatriate families, heads of mission or mining company management.
Diatigui lists only villas we have visited. On this segment the pool is rarely the real question: what separates a good villa from a bad one is whether the generator can keep the filtration pump running, the water reserve, and the quality of overnight security.

What a pool actually involves in Conakry
A pool in Conakry is not a passive amenity: it consumes water, electricity and maintenance. Three questions decide the quality of the property, and we answer them on every listing:
- is the filtration pump wired to the generator? If it only runs on the grid, the water turns green after a week of outages;
- is maintenance included in the rent, and how often? This is the point most often left vague in Guinean leases;
- does the property's water reserve cover domestic needs independently of the pool?
Where to find a villa with a pool in Conakry
Lambanyi holds most of the supply: generous plots, single- or two-storey villas, gardens and separate staff quarters. Kipé and Kaporo offer a few, often closer to the centre and therefore more expensive for the same floor area. In Dixinn, the rare villas with a pool are older seafront properties, much in demand from diplomatic missions.
Expect $2,500 to $5,200 per month for a furnished villa with a pool, security guarding included. Below $2,300, be careful: either the pool is not maintained or the backup power does not keep up.

Can I rent a villa with a pool for a few weeks?
Possible but rare: owners in this segment prefer six-month to two-year leases. For a short stay, an upmarket apartment in a compound with a shared pool is usually easier to secure and cheaper.
