G2G Challenge – Conakry Marathon
On 1 February 2027, the G2G Challenge kicks off in Conakry: two marathons in seven days, in Guinea and Guinea-Bissau.

The G2G Challenge invites travelling runners to complete two low-key marathons in seven days in two neighbouring West African countries: the first in Conakry on Monday 1 February 2027 (5:30 am GMT start), the second in Bissau on 7 February, with a visit to the Bijagós archipelago in between.
The event targets marathoners who collect countries and want an experience off the major circuits. Registration is open online on RunSignup at USD 200 until 31 December 2026. An all-inclusive package (accommodation, flight between the two cities, excursions and logistics) is announced for 31 January to 8 February 2027.
For visitors: runners arriving early to acclimatise to the heat, or companions wanting to explore Conakry before or after the race, may prefer a furnished apartment to cook pre-race meals and recover in peace. The early start means staying close to the start line: check the course published by the organiser.
