Created and run by promoter Alfred Houlemou, Jazz and Co is one of Guinea's longest-running music festivals. Its 17th edition took place in Dalaba, in Middle Guinea; given the logistical constraints of organising outside the capital, the organisers announced a return to Conakry for the 18th edition, scheduled for 12–14 November 2026.
The festival blends jazz, Mandingo music and contemporary creation. Past editions have featured Sira Condé, Prince Diabaté, Abdoulaye Kouyaté, Seyni and the Yéliba, and the Belgian collective Laminoir. It draws music lovers, musicians from the region, the diaspora and expatriates.
The dates were announced by the organisers in late 2025; the Conakry venues and line-up are still to be confirmed closer to the festival. Note that it coincides with the Simandou Mining Summit, making it a natural cultural outing for delegations in town.
For visitors: during a particularly busy week in Conakry, a furnished apartment is a comfortable alternative to fully booked hotels, with the space you need for a multi-night stay.
