Guinea's Syli national hosts Eritrea in Conakry on 9 November 2026, on matchday 3 of the 2027 AFCON qualifiers.

Dates
9 November 2026
Venue
Stade du 28-Septembre, Conakry
Organiser
Fédération guinéenne de football (FEGUIFOOT) / CAF

After several years playing away from home for lack of an approved stadium, Guinea's Syli national returned to the renovated Stade du 28 Septembre on 1 October 2026, beating Kenya 1-0 thanks to a goal by Serhou Guirassy. The next home fixture is Eritrea on 9 November 2026, part of the double-header covering matchdays 3 and 4 of Group D in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The Stade du 28 Septembre, with a capacity of around 25,000, is the historic home of Guinean football. Its name recalls the referendum of 28 September 1958 that led to the country's independence. The return of official matches draws large, enthusiastic crowds.

For visitors: diaspora fans, journalists and technical staff following the team should plan their movements on match day, as traffic around the stadium is heavy. A furnished apartment in Camayenne or Kaloum, close to the stadium, avoids long journeys and gives you a comfortable base before and after the match.
